Sometimes you meet people that just resonate with you right away and it was the case with John and Caitlin from Singapore who came to Tuscany for their holidays. Yet, it wasn’t just any vacation, as it turned out that John had a secret plan. He chose a romantic villa in Val d’Orcia to ask Caitlin to marry him. And guess what? She said Yes! I only spent one evening with them, but they they will stay in my heart for a long time to come. They are kind, tender, gentle and have so much love for one another that I felt emotional taking pictures of them. They are truly special and so is the feeling that brought them together. From the vinyards and the hills of Val d’Orcia, here is their visual story.

Two days before their wedding I met with Lisa and Kevin for their last couple photo shoot as a non-married couple. Everything about this session was delicious. Their closeness and special relationship they share, picturesque landscape of Castellina in Chianti and the unbeatable Tuscan light. They travelled from England to live this precious moment in life and for me it was a true pleasure meeting them before their wedding and then again on the big day!

From Singapore to Tuscany, aroused by the beauty of this land, Cindy and Shaun travelled all the way to Italy for their holidays. It was their wedding anniversary and they decided to celebrate it by celebrating themselves. Coming from a big city, everything about the Tuscan countryside was a little discovery for them, let alone the romantic views from Dimora Santa Margherita. It was a true pleasure creating these glimpses of memories for them to take home.

Magical sunrise couple session in Tuscany

Pratomagno remains off the beaten track for people visitng Tuscany from abroad, but it’s a gem of a rare beauty. With it’s endless meadows and rolling hills, I’d call it little Scotland of Tuscany. It overlooks two important valleys – Casentino and Valdarno – and on days with good visibility, you can even see Florence in the distance.

When Irene and Andrea contacted me for a photo shoot, the choice was obvious. We share the love for mountains and instantly clicked on the idea of going to Pratomagno for the sunrise. Even though that asked getting up at 4 am in the morning of us.

Dreamy Couple Photo Session in Pratomagno, Tuscany

When Valentina and Niccolo told me they’d like a pre-wedding photo session, the choice of location was obvious – my beloved Pratomagno. This little mountain is unlike any other panorama you can find in Tuscany. It recalls Scottish hills rather than an Italian landscape and is very romantic at any time of year.

Not only was the location full of romance, but also the couple was so in love they made my heart melt. They prepared love letters to read to one another and it felt like a symbolic ceremony, the first promise they made before getting married.

It was more than a photo session, it was a time of tearful love declaration and joyful celebration of their relationship. All of that in the breathtaking surroundings of Pratomagno.
